Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities Students Registration Renewal 2018-19

Government of India, Ministry of Minority Affairs Department of Minority Welfare State Governments invites applications for Post Matric Scholarship for fresh registration and renewal for 2018-19, the scheme aim to offer scholarships to meritorious students belong to economically weaker sections of India minority communities students plus two, UG, PG, Ph.D or 11th Plus, ITI are eligible register Post Matric Scholarship, previously applied can renewal till last date 30-09-2018

Eligibility: Scholarship will be awarded to the students who had secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in previous final exam, the family income not exceeded Rs.2.00 lakh

Minorities: the communities Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain and Zoroastrians (Parsis) notified as minority communities under section 2 © of the national commission for minorities Act 1992. total 30 lakh scholarships targeted to be distributed as Fresh scholarships, renewal scholarships.

Conditions for Scholarship

i) Scholarship will be awarded to the students of minority community studying in classes XI to XII including technical and vocational courses including Polytechnic, ITI and other courses
ii) Income certificate issued from State / UT Governments competent authority
iii) Self certified community certificate required from the student age 18 years
iv) For Renewal applying, previous year exam should be 50% marks
v) Scholarship will not be given more than two students from a family
vi) Student attendance regularly attend school and certified by competent school authority
vii) The course/tution fees and maintenance allowances will be credited to the students bank account directly under DBT mode

Post Matric Scholarship Selection Students


Fresh: number of scholarship for minorities available in a year or limited, so eligible students apply without waiting last date, merit list or selection basis on weightage income & date of birth.

Renewal: There is no merit, regard student previous year exam marks above 50% marks will awarded for scholarship

Earmarking: 30% scholarship is earmarked for girls students of each minority community in state/ut

Scholarship Amount

Admission and Tuition Fee
Class XI & XII: Rs.7000 per annum (for both Hosteller & Day Scholar)
Technical & Vocational Courses for XI and XII level: Rs.10,000 per annum
UG & PG level: Rs.3000 per annum
Maintenance allowances
Class XI & XII include Technical & Vocational Courses: Rs.380 pm for Hosteller, Rs.230 pm for day scholar
UG & PG level: Rs.570 pm for Hosteller, Rs.300 pm for day scholar
For M.Phil & Ph.D: Rs.1200 pm for Hosteller, Rs.550 pm for day scholar

vii) Fee Receipt of ‘Current Course Year
viii) Bank Account in the name of Student
