The Syllabus for Boat Crew Personnel clearly listed below
(i) General Intelligence/Awareness and Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, relation concepts, analysis, judgment, decision making, verbal and figure classification, problems solving, visual memory, discriminating observation, similarities and differences, space visualization, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc., The test will also include question design to test the applicants abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical combinations and other analytical functions.
(ii) Numerical Aptitudes: In this part questions will asked on problems relating to number systems. Computations of whole number, fundamental arithmetical operations, decimal and fractions and relationship between numbers, percentages, averages, interests, ratio and proportion, profit and loss, discount, time and distance, ratio and time, time and work etc
(iii) English Language: part 3 comprise the topics testing of applicants understanding of English language, its vocabulary, grammar, synonymous, antonyms, sentence structure and its correct usage etc. His/her writing ability would also be tested
(iv) General Awareness: These questions will be such that they do not require special study of any discipline, the questions asks relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, geography, economics scene, history, culture, general policy including Indian Constitution and Scientific Research etc.
