CBSE NEET Merit List 2018
The CBSE will prepare an All India Merit List of successful candidates of NEET on basis of eligibility criteria provide by Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI) as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations-1997 issued under IMC Act 1956 and BDS Course Regulations 2007 under the Dentists Act 1948
i) For NEET 2018 admission to MBBS/BDS Courses minimum of marks 50th percentile, For ST, SC, OBC the min marks shall be 40th percentile. For Bench Marked Disabilities candidates specified under Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 General category 45% and for SC/ST/OBC 40%. Percentile determined on basis of highest marks scored in All India common merit list in NEET.
ii) In respected category candidates fail to secure min marks as above prescribed, the central government in consultation with MCI and Dental Council of India may at its discretion lower min marks required for the academic year only.
iii) Candidate must have passed and obtained in the subjects individually Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English and must have secured min 50% marks (General), 45% marks SC/ST/OBC, Bench Marked Disabilities 40% taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology at Qualifying exam as mentioned in GMER 1997 as amended in 2018 and BDS course regulations 2007. Candidates passed 10+2 from open schools or private candidates shall not eligible for admission into MBBS/BDS courses as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 1997 and BDS Course Regulations, 2007
Merit List Tie Break-up : In case any two or more candidates scored equal marks in NEET 2018, the inter se merit of such candidates shall be resolute in order of preference
a) Higher marks obtained in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test
b) Higher marks obtained in Chemistry in the Test
c) Less number of attempted wrong answers in all subjects in Test
d) Older age
